Geoff Herbach

Geoff Herbach is an award winning〔 American novelist.〔 Born in Dubuque, Iowa on October 30, 1969,〔〔 Herbach grew up in Plattville, Wisconsin.〔 He is an alum of Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota,〔 where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing.〔 He is the author of several novels, including ''The Miracle Letters of T. Rimberg'', ''Stupid Fast'', and a sequel to Stupid Fast titled ''Nothing Special.''〔〔〔(Herbach at Goodreads ).〕 In February 2012, Stupid Fast was named winner of the 2011 Cybils Award in the Young Adult Fiction category.〔〔 ''Nothing Special'' won the 2013 Minnesota Book Award for Young People's literature.〔 He is co-authoring a new novel with Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 and Angels and Airwaves called Strange Times, set for release in Summer of 2016.〔http://us9.campaign-archive2.com/?u=c7512c340fedd91496534b298&id=d54abe764f〕
Herbach has written scripts for Electric Arc Radio, Radio Happy Hour, Powderkeg Live, and The Lit 6 Project.〔〔 He co-wrote the musical "Don’t Crush Our Heart" and has been a reader on Talking Image Connection.〔 A former teacher at Anoka-Ramsey Community College,〔 Herbach has had stories published in ''Workers Write!'', ''Bathtub Gin'', ''American Nerd'' and other journals and has also read work on Minnesota Public Radio.〔〔
Herbach currently resides in Mankato, Minnesota where he teaches creative writing at Minnesota State University, Mankato.〔〔 He is married to writer Stephanie Wilbur Ash and has two children.〔〔〔
